The EmNOC does not have the MIB I want -- where can I find it ?
The EmNOC is shipped with many hundreds of MIBs pre-loaded. If there is one it does not have please
let us know by e-mailing support AT emnico DOT com.
You can then take a look at our on-line MIB Repository at http://www.emnico.com/mib.
If in the unusual event you cannot find it there -- check out the manufacturers web site. The name of the manufacturer of the device is provided
in the "Device List" on the main EmNOC discovery list page and on the EmNOC discovery map page.

-
Can I run the EmNOC on the same machine as IIS or Apache ?
Yes you can, but you must ensure that the EmNOC does not use the same port number as is being used for
the IIS, Apache or other web server.
By default EmNOC runs on port 8080. To change this you will need to edit the file found in the install directories
to set the port you wish to use.
When you connect your browser to the EmNOC you will need to specify the port rather than relying on the defaults
so use [say] http://myemnocserver:8080

How can I get more information from my windows server ?
You can enable some optional Microsoft software on the server that will give EmNOC more detailed
inforation.
More detals can be found in this How-To.
Once completed, you can simply
do a re-discover and EmNOC will be able to view, explore and monitor adminstrative information.

-
Does EmNOC install any software on the machines I wish to look at or monitor ?
No
Some manufacturers call this agent-less. EmNOC only accesses information that is already available on the machines
it discovers.

The discovery does not seem very fast when using a 64-bit OS ?
You need to copy a library. Copy the following file into the system32 drivers directory.
C:\Program Files\Emnico\EmNOC\windows\system32\drivers\npf-x64.sys
needs to go to
\windows\system32\drivers\npf.sys
