IT Technical Lead Engineer

This is a challenging role requiring a high level of technical knowledge, good self discipline, time management, inter personal skills and a high level of pride in providing premier support to our client base. You will identify, share and implement best working practice for the mutual benefit of other Help Desk members and our clients. In addition to this you will be required to carry out normal support duties including pro-active monitoring and management, day to day maintenance and repair of hardware, network Installation, Development, server Hardware and Software Support etc.

Required SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • A proven track record of supporting Microsoft desktop and server operating
  • Microsoft Active Directory / Group Policy.
  • Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
  • Good knowledge of Exchange 2003 and 2007.
  • Network infrastructure and security including Firewalls/Routers/Switches.
  • Strong interpersonal, team leadership and customer service skills.

Desired SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • MCSA, MCSE qualifications.
  • Experience with VMWare and MS SharePoint.
  • UNIX / Linux administration and installation (Preferably Debian).
  • Cisco PIX and ASA firewall knowledge.
  • Mac experience.

Software Engineer

Emnico is seeking to further expand its high-calibre development teams and is looking for competent software and IT engineers with a good working knowledge of C++ and Java to work in our Swindon office.

Required Skills

  • Educated to degree level or above
  • You must have strong C++ and Java skills on a Windows/UNIX platform. (It is useful if you have used XML).
  • You must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • You must be Self Managing/motivating
  • You will be team players who work well in a collaborative development environment
  • Demonstrable extra-curricular software development

Desired Skills

  • Experience in relational databases, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • A good understanding of IP, Ethernet, and/or SDH telecommunication network technologies
  • You are willing to travel UK wide plus occasionally Europe and the rest of the world
